Greece: An Ancient
Civilization
Island of Delos
The Island of Delos was home to an ancient and thriving civilization, dating to 300-600BC. The island is undisturbed since then, and is a National Treasure. No one is allowed to live or stay on the Island, in order to preserve it's historic treasures. It was the home of the Temple of Apollo, as well as many other monuments and Sanctuaries. The photos below show many of the ancient houses, floor mosaics, and statues that can still be found there.
